Local Knowledge
I’m Capt. Kyle Morella. I’ve been guiding out of McClellanville for ten years: sight-fishing redfish on the flats, tailing fish on the flood tides, and a lot of days spent learning how these fish move.
The Ditch is the stretch of Intracoastal that accesses Cape Romain and Bulls Bay, one of the wildest marshes left on the East Coast. It’s where I cut my teeth, where I guide and where I live.

Full day sight fishing or light tackle for redfish through the Cape Romain national refuge.
Spend 6 hours chasing redfish in the shallow mud flats throughought Cape Romain.
Spend 4 hours on a flood tide or tidal swing chasing redfish tailing or busting shrimp on the mud and grass edges.
